Abstract

Conclusions: The procedures for the preparation of beef muscle for microscopic study following fixation in Alcohol-Acetic Acid, Carnoy's Alcohol-Acetic Acid, Formalin-Alcohol-Acetic Acid and 10% Formalin are outlined.

The desirability of utilizing at least three different methods of fixation in the preparation of beef tissues for histological examinations is stressed.
