Reports on Feeding Trials and Nutritional Work*

H. M. Briggs

Oklahoma Agricultural and Mechanical College

Abstract

Most research work in the field of Animal Husbandry is chiefly concerned with the practical problems of the industry. These problems, for the most part, consist of finding ways and means of producing more products, a higher quality of product, or to decrease the cost of production.

When the author of this paper was assigned the above title each Animal Husbandry Department in the United States was contacted to find what it was doing or had recently done in Animal Husbandry investigations. Nearly all of the departments have generously responded to furnish the abundance of material from which the discussion in this paper is drawn. For sake of brevity it has been necessary to confine the discussion presented here to the work completed, for the most part, during the last two years.

Advances in Knowledge of Vitamins

The various vitamins are among the most challenging factors with which livestock investigators are confronted.
