Conference on Artificial Insemination

G. W. Salisbury, Chairman

Cornell University

C. L. Cole, Secretary

Michigan State College

Abstract

The plan of the program for the 6th Annual Conference was based on a survey of the opinions of members of the Society. The survey showed that the Society is now primarily interested in formal papers dealing with new developments. A majority of those replying to the questionnaire were interested in spontaneous and undirected discussion following the presentation of the papers. The group was not in favor of having review papers presented on the program, regardless of the subject selected, but the members were interested in progress reports of research projects now under way. It was suggested that it might well be a function of this Society to keep its interested members informed regarding the results of field application of artificial insemination and the results of recent research.

The survey further showed that at least twenty-three institutions in the United States are conducting research which has some bearing on the problems of artificial insemination.
