Abstract
The development of color film has extended the value of pictures as a teaching aid in the field of Animal Husbandry. Pictures in natural color have greater eye appeal and make possible the illustration of hair coat colors and the color markings of animals that indicate breed characteristics.
Stills or slides in natural color offer perhaps the greatest possibilities because of their convenience and low cost. Our consideration will be devoted entirely to this type of material.
Kodachrome roll film produced by the Eastman Company has proven most satisfactory in our trials. The film is available in daylight loading cartridges for Leica, Retina and Contax cameras. By transferring the film to other cartridges in the dark room, it may be used in any camera of 3 J m.m. sue. In daylight it has a Weston emulsion speed rating of 8. Kodachrome "A" for Mazda lighting is a companion film making pictures under artificial light possible. Both films are used without filters.
