Abstract
The results of work done at the University of Wisconsin with swine on a project supported by the Ruhm Phosphate and Chemical Company are reported here. Trials with market swine and with breeding swine were conducted over a period of five years.
In all of the experiments lot 1 received a ration of ground yellow corn and iodized salt supplemented in dry-lot with tankage, linseed meal, and alfalfa meal, and on pasture with tankage and linseed meal. The basal ration for the other lots consisted of ground yellow corn, standard wheat middlings, linseed meal, tankage, and alfalfa meal. When the feed' ing was done on pasture, the protein supplement was reduced by Yz and the alfalfa meal was omitted. The mineral additions with each 100 pounds of feed were:
