Constitution of the American Society of Animal Production

Abstract
Name. This association shall be known as the American Societyof Animal Production.
Object. The object of the Society shallbe (a) to bring aboutimprovement and unification of methodsof investigation, instruction,and extension in animal production,(b) to arrange for desirablecooperation and for the avoidanceof undesirable duplicationin investigation work, and (c) toafford opportunity for theexchange of ideas in the field ofinterest of the Society.
Membership. All persons engaged ininvestigation, instruction,or extension in animal productionor in the production of livestockor livestock products in theUnited States and other countriesshall be eligible for membership,and may become members byenrolling and paying the annual dues.Membership shall be forfeitedby the non-payment of dues forthree consecutive years.
The Record of Proceedings of theSociety, when printed, shallbe sent without cost to memberswhose dues have been paid forthe period covered by the Proceedings.Members whose dues arein arrears may obtain the Proceedingsupon the payment of $1.00per copy.
