Minutes of the Thirtieth Annual Business Meeting

November 27, 1937

Abstract

The meeting was called to order at 2:00 p. m. by President George A. Brown.

Chairman Elmer Roberts of the Committee on Investigation moved that the part of last year's report dealing with "A Method for Determining Fineness and Uniformity of Ground Feeds" (see pages 323–326 of the 1936 Proceedings) be adopted as the standard method recommended by the Society for expressing the fineness and uniformity of ground feed. Motion carried.

In pursuance of that part of last year's report dealing with "Relative Nutritive Values for Comparing Feeds" (see pages 326–327 of the 1936 Proceedings) it was moved that a standing committee of ten be appointed to consider the evaluation of feeds, that membership on this committee be for five year terms so staggered as to give continuity to the personnel of the committee, and that in the appointment of the committee due consideration be given to regional an danimal and feed diversity and to the past actual experience of the appointees.
