How we Handle 4-H Club Work

W. E. Morris

University of Minnesota

Abstract

This subject may be discussed from two standpoints, (1) the specialist working as an individual, and (2) the state project as a whole. I prefer to discuss it from the latter angle as there, I believe, we have more to offer others. The 4-H club in Minnesota is a project of all extension people, whether they be state or county workers.

The specialist takes his part in the adoption and planning of projects and supplying the subject matter for that project. He after that becomes a part of the big organization which puts the job over, fitting in where needed on educational meetings, tours and in the management of state events. We have built up an organization which works effectively because of cooperation all along the line from state workers, through county agents to the local leader. Each county worker, whether he be new or old, finds the club program a necessary line of work to carry on.
