Constitution of the American Society of Animal Production

Abstract

As corrected in accordance with revisions adopted November 26, 1932

  1. Name. This association shall be known as the American Society of Animal Production.
  2. Object. The object of the Society shall be (a) to bring about improvement and unification of methods of investigation, instruction, and extension in animal production, (b) to arrange for desirable cooperation and for the avoidance of undesirable duplication, in investigation work, and (c) to afford opportunity for the exchange of ideas in the field of interest of the Society.
  3. Membership. All persons engaged in investigation, instruction, or extension in animal production or in the production of livestock or livestock products in the United States and other countries shall be eligible for membership, and may become members by enrolling and paying the annual dues. Membership shall be forfeited by the non-payment of dues for three consecutive years.
