Report of Committee on Ventilation Research

M. A. R. Kelly, Chairman

Abstract

The chairman of the committee was at the time of the meetings conducting a test on the relation of stable temperatures to milk yields. Observations of stable temperatures ranging from 40° to 65° were to be made on 96 cows. The factors being recorded in addition to stable temperatures and humidities are milk yield, butter fat percentage, and water consumption. Observations on selected cows are also being made with respect to respiration, pulse, and body temperature. The results secured last winter indicate that the optimum stable temperature during the winter months will fall below 60° F.

M. A. R. KELLY, Chairman
