Report of Committee on Animal Husbandry Extension

Rex Beresford, H. P. Rusk and Wayland Rhoads, Chaiman

Abstract

Livestock Extension work has in recent years been a potent factor in improving livestock practices. The result of the purebred sire campaign and the sanitation project demonstrate what can be accomplished by the use of carefully planned and supervised demonstrations. We recommend them as the most effective method of extension teaching.

The committee on Animal Husbandry Extension is of the opinion that more experimental work dealing with immediately practical problems is needed. To this end we especially recommend the cooperation of experiment station and extension workers in outlining both experimental and extension projects in animal husbandry so that the results obtained shall be of the most practical value to livestock farmers.

H. P. RUSK,

WAYLAND RHOADS, Chairman
