Report of Committee on Mixed Feeds

Abstract

Following the 1929 meeting of this society, the Committee on Mixed Feeds was directed to confer with the College Feed Conference Board, representing the dairy interests and the Poultry Science Association, relative to the incorporation of salt and minerals in commercially mixed feeds.

Professor Morrison reported that the College Feed Conference Board favored a continuation of the policy of incorporating minerals in mixed feeds for the present.

The Poultry Science Association will take up the question of incorporating minerals in mixed feeds at their meeting in Chicago during the first week of December, 1930.

The committee having failed to reach an agreement on the Forbes resolution, reports no action.

This committee has taken no further action on the resolution offered last year on the coordination of experimental work in states having similar problems to meet, as we feel that this is a matter for the committee on cooperation and methods of investigation.
