Report of Committee on Ventilation Research

Abstract

The committee is pleased to report the publication, since our last meeting, of several papers by the respective members of this committee, all of which have a bearing on ventilation research and lay the foundation for future work. They are as follows:

"Quantitative Relations of the Dry Matter of the Food Consumed, the Heat Production, the Gaseous Outgo and the Insensible Loss in Body Weight of Cattle," by Max Kriss, Jour. Agr. Research, Vol. 10, No. 3, February 1, 1930.

"Energy and Nitrogen Metabolism During the First Year of Postnatal Life." Abstract by Dr. Samuel Brody. Growth and Development Series No. XV, Research Bulletin 143, June, 1930. College of Agriculture, University of Missouri.

"Ventilation of Farm Barns." By M. A. R. Kelley. Tech. Bul. 187, June, 1930. U. S. Department of Agriculture.

Review of recent literature shows an increased interest in the problems of poultry house ventilation. We trust that the members of this society will continue this work.
