Report of the Committee on Methods of Instruction

Abstract

The Committtee on Methods of Instruction, following the program of study outlined for it and adopted by the Society in 1927, submits as a progress report for the consideration of the Society an outline for a curriculum in Animal Husbandry that might be used as a guide in unifying, to whatever extent may be possible and seem advisable, curricula in Animal Husbandry offered by the various institutions of the country.

The committee requests that this report of progress be published in the proceedings of this year's meeting, but that final action be not taken on it until next year's meeting in order that the members of the society may have ample time to consider, criticise, and make suggestions that will more nearly make the curriculum eventually adopted as a guide representative of the best thought of the Society as a whole.

The curriculum submitted is built up on a percentage rather than an hour basis in order that it may be applied with equal ease to both term and semester plans of dividing the school year.
