The Inheritance of Chalk-Face in Merino Sheep

B. L. Warwick and D. S. Bell

Ohio Agricultural Experiment Station

Abstract

Conclusion: Many more matings are needed to determine the true genetic basis of this character. However, the certainity that it is due to either one or more dominants rather than recessives should make its elimination easy. From this preliminary data it appears that rigid selection is the tool to use against this undesirable character.
