Report of Sub-Committee on Extension Methods

Abstract

Attention was given first to the reactions received from the various states to the report submitted by last year's committee and adopted by the Society at its last meeting. The great majority of these expressions gave approval to the recommendations made. However, some constructive comments and suggestions were included, a few of which are quoted:

"The only suggestion I have to make for the next report is that it go a little more into details in regard to how these things may be achieved. I should like to see your Society outline and define some good animal production demonstrations. I believe you can reduce some of the general terms used in this report to much more specific terms."

"I believe that the lack of effective follow-up and the securing of definite records by animal husbandry specialists is one of the most serious difficulties in the way of putting over animal husbandry programs.
