Some Genetic Aspects of Disease Control

E. Roberts

University of Illinois

Abstract

If the reasoning set forth in this paper is sound, then it is clear that the approach to the problem of disease control should among animals, at least, be more than one of simply eradication by means of vaccines, serums, and similar methods. The science of genetics may show the way to more permanent and less expensive control by producing individuals resistant to disease.
