Minnesota Carload Baby Beef Contest

A. A. Dowell

University of Minnesota

Abstract

This paper was published in full by the Agricultural Extension Division, University of Minnesota, University Farm, St. Paul, Minn., under the title "Report of the First Annual Minnesota Carload Baby Beef Contest."

The author concludes:

"The baby beef contest has been the most effective type of beef cattle extension work with adult farmers so far attempted in Minnesota. It has created renewed interest in the important business of beef production. Furthermore, it has raised many fundamental questions which can be solved only by exacting trials on the part of experiment station workers."
