"Dinner Table" vs. "Dinner Pail" for Baby Beeves

G. Bohstedt

Ohio Experiment Station

Abstract

This paper has been published in full in Ohio Agr. Exp. Sta. Bimonthly Bul., Nov.–Dec, 1926, under the title, "Stanchion-Feeding Compared with Group-Feeding of Baby Beeves."

Summary of the Experiment.—Baby beeves full-fed at a common feed trough consumed more feed than corresponding cattle full-fed separately in stanchions. In keeping with the increased consumption the group-fed cattle made larger and cheaper gains.
