In the Interest of the Society

Abstract

The American Society of Animal Production was organized in 1908 by the leaders in certain fields of livestock research work. Since that time it has broadened its scope to include the essential phases of livestock investigational and teaching activities. The proceedings of the Society record splendid accomplishments of former years. Without knowing how they come about you, as a teacher or a research worker, have enjoyed or profited as a result of the work of the founders and former members of the Society. This is as it should be. The Society Was organized to serve its members. Not only its members, but all those who are engaged in the work which the Society represents. In return what have you contributed to the Society? Remember there is no other Society or organization working in your behalf in such an important way.

If there is an important phase of work which has not been brought to the attention of the Society, see that the matter is presented at the next annual meeting, or better still, submit the question to the secretary at once for immediate consideration.
