Abstract
Pursuant to your instructions, your committee met with the authorized representatives of other associations and societies relating to agricultural science, at the Schoreham Hotel, Washington, D. C., November 15, 1910, and after full consideration, adopted the following resolution and constitution:
RESOLVED—That in order to promote common objects and interests there is special need of an affiliation of the various societies in North America which have for their object the advancement of afiriculture through scientific research;
That, therefore, the representatives of the American Association of Economic Entomologists, American Association of Farmers' Institute Workers, American Breeders' Association, American Phytopathological Society, American Society of Agronomy, American Society of Animal Nutrition, Association of Dairy Instructors, Association of Horticultural Inspectors, Association of Official Agricultural Chemists, Society for Horticultural Science, Society for the Promotion of Agricultural Science, and Association of American Agricultural Colleges and Experiment Stations hereby agree to affiliate under the following constitution, subject to ratification at the first regular session held by the societies mentioned subsequent to this date.
