Abstract
Albino mice in groups of three or more which had made the same average daily gains on a corn-soybean type diet (ad libitum) were compared as to final body composition, moisture, fat and protein. Coefficients of variation for the fat content of the groups of males having the same gain varied from 0.36 to 0.90. The coefficients of variation for protein were at least 0.39 in all cases and for moisture at least 0.30. In females having the same gain, the coefficients of variation for the fat content varied from 0.29 to 0.65, for protein from 0.43 to 0.50 and for moisture from 0.30 to 0.33.
