Abstract
Evidence is presented for erythrocyte mosaicism in a heifer recorded as single-born. Since mutation could be excluded as a cause of the mosaic, it was concluded that one of her two cell-types was derived from a missing co-twin. The only traces of this twin were the descendants of certain of its cells found in the viable heifer.
