Abstract
The feeding of a supplement containing aureomycin and vitamin B12 to calves receiving a liberal ration of milk, calf starter and good quality hay increased growth above that of the controls. No significant difference in utilization of feed nutrients was observed between the two groups. There was no evidence of scours in any of the calves throughout the duration of the trial. Growth of the supplemented calves was enhanced above that of the control animals even though scours, a conflicting factor in some other investigations, was absent.
