The use of Chromic Oxide in Digestibility Studies with Pigs Fed Ad Libitum in the Barn1

Abstract

The chromic oxide method for determining digestion coefficients with pigs was shown to yield similar results as the conventional collection method.

A tentative procedure for the determination of digestion coefficients during comparative feeding trials with ad libitum barn feeding is described.
